Wednesday Morning Good Times

Ah, Wednesday morning is a lot easier for me than Tuesday morning. I open up Cars R Coffin Coffee Bar on these particular days and by the time Monday rolls around, waking up for work at 6:30am is a new, horrible experience all over again. And in general, Wednesday is a little less of a shock to my system, and today I am functioning with a more even keel. So if my post yesterday seemed a little hostile, part of it is due to my Tuesday morning blues. However, I still believe there are a lot of fucking morons who think riding a bike will magically make them less stupid and more charismatic (and we all know that only happens sometimes), but today is about good times.

Like finding mystery meat at the grocery store!

Is it catfish, or is it really beef? I say grill it up and let your taste buds decide.

And I have a suggestion for the Obama campaign. Let me just first say, I am all about Barack Obama. The next four years are going to be tough for the U.S., and I think Barack will help ease us towards recovery from the Bush years. I have a suggestion for a running mate:

Obama: reaching for the stars, Jackson:taking out the trash

Yup, Samuel L. Jackson. He'd be more than a VP- he could replace the whole goddamn Secret Service. Just a thought. Oh, and that white outline around Jackson? Some of you may hastily assume that is bad photoshop work. In reality, that is a force field he really has around him at all times. And all of those CGI jedi stunts from the Star Wars films? It wasn't CGI. How do I know? I've seen his lightsaber- it's the one that says "bad motherfucker" on it.

And lastly, I found out today that Boris just released a new album last month titled "Smile." I don't know how I missed it, but needless to say, I promptly downloaded it (through legitimate channels, I should add). I see that they aren't playing the Twin Cities on their latest North American tour. I blame you, Minnesota, for not having enough people at their last epic show at the Triple Rock. It was awesome, and not enough of you were there, and now they've skipped us. I mean, they're playing Omaha. Omaha! I hope you all are satisfied.

Here's a little taste of what we will be missing:

Didn't you and I discuss Smile in some detail when it came out? You shouldn't pretend the world didn't tell you something you just forgot.

It's great, btw.

Are you sure we were talking about Smile and not Pink? I thought we were talking about Pink. Or Rainbow? I think Jim doth protest too much.
