Veteran's Day

I just realized, thanks to Goathork, that today is Veteran's Day. I am an avid pacifist and strongly anti-war. I admire the work of the world's great peacekeepers, from Martin Luther King, Jr to Mahatma Ghandi. But I am also the son of a veteran. I am the grandson of a veteran. I am the brother of a veteran. I am the cousin of a veteran. If it wasn't for their sacrifices, my life would not be as rich and as meaningful. I salute them all.
