More attacks on the Greenway

The Greenway, a former railroad line converted into a bike path that is an important resource to bike commuters, has always been a little dangerous. I've heard stories about people getting mugged at night, as the trail is in a trench that makes it all too easy for thieves to set up ambushes. Well, apparently these ambushes are in the rise. The Star Tribune reports today (check it out here) about this unsettling trend.

Minneapolis Bike Love has been organizing rides to generate awareness (check it out here) and there are ways for people to volunteer help at midtowngreenway.org

And in case you want to see for yourself what reported incidents have occurred, check this link out. We need some Judge Dredd-type out there.

Be safe out there people!
